LIHUE — Hawaii Pacific Health announced Thursday that it is currently accepting applications for the 2025 Health Careers Summer Internship.
The program is a six-week paid internship program that is open to high school junior and senior students as well as college students.
“The Health Careers Summer Internship is a great opportunity for students to explore the vast and diverse world of health care,” said Shanyn Kanemori, HPH manager of workforce development and compliance. “In addition to doctors and nurses, there are so many other professions that all come together to provide quality care to patients. This internship program allows students to learn more about these career pathways and get real-life experience. ”
Applications which are available online at the HPH website, www.HawaiiPacificHealth.org/SummerInternship, are due by 3 p.m. on Feb. 21.
The internship program will run from June 15 to July 24. Accepted students will have an opportunity to intern at various HPH locations on Kauai and Oahu, including Wilcox Medical Center and Kauai Medical Clinic. Patient care and non-patient care internship positions are available.
