LIHUE — Kauai police apprehended two juveniles in connection to various crimes across the island.
Officials reported that at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, officers with the Kauai Police Department KPD dispatched to Lihue on a call regarding a stolen vehicle
Police officers initiated a search in the perimeter, located the reported vehicle, and discovered two juveniles inside.
Once officers approached the car, they discovered a minor operating it, and the other was in the passenger seat. One juvenile then attempted to flee on foot but was immediately apprehended. Both juvenile perpetrators were detained at the scene.
Further investigation revealed that both minors may be connected to various burglaries and vehicle thefts. Due to juvenile privacy laws, the identities and ages of the minors will not be disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.
